September 5th Calendar of Events:

This month’s character focus is RESPECT. One way to think about respect is “seeing value in all people and things & treating them with care.” Many people feel respected in different ways and we hope this month inspires discussions with your family about what respect means to you and how you can practice it together!
Respect is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Kind. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like perspective-taking, conflict resolution, and leadership.
A newsletter will come home this week with different ideas on how to practice respect. Have some fun connecting as a family this month while practicing Respect. How many can you do this month?

Reminder: No School on Monday, September 4th, 2023 for Labor Day.

August 31st Calendar of Events:

On Wednesday afternoons this year, we will take a little time to learn how to be great people, upstanding citizens, and good friends. We will focus on a character word each month starting with RESPECT in September. The last two weeks have been our Kindness Kickoff! This week our students got to know more about their classmates and practiced their communication skills by holding a friendly conversation with their partner. Kind is Cool!

Caught in the act! These sweet girls saw another student playing by herself and they joined her and started a game. 🥰🥰 We are working hard to teach our students that being kind is the way to be!
