After a unit on Arthurian legend, Ms. Underwood's 8th grade classes chose a century between 500 and 1500 A.D. Students then completed a mini-research project, created their own mini-village models and videoed their presentations.

The ESOL students worked very hard as they sorted, inspected, and packed food for the Arkansas Food Bank. Their volunteer service will impact over 500 families in Central Arkansas. Mrs. Aida Kuettle is their sponsor.

Today, Morrilton Junior High was one of 300 schools from 44 states across the country to receive a $5000 grant through the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries. The Laura Bush Foundation awarded $1.5 million in library grants this year. #timetoshine
