Students with poor attendance score lower than their peers who attend school regularly on national skills assessments, regardless of race or ethnicity. Chronic absenteeism can be a better predictor of school failure than test scores.

Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and that’s known as chronic absence.

MHS would like to invite all parents/guardians to our campus Thursday, February 15 for Parent/Teacher Conferences. The conferences start at 3:45pm and will end at 7:45pm. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday so we can celebrate your student(s).
