Media Center

The Morrilton Elementary Media Center has approximately 11,000 volumes available for patrons.  In addition, other media such as teaching kits, audio books, DVD videos are available for classroom use.  New technology in the media center (including smart board and AV Visual Presenter/Document Camera, Apple TV, etc.) provides ample opportunities for many new and exciting projects.

Students free flow into the media center all day long.  Classes are scheduled daily for teaching library skills and literature using different mediums. The media center is available for teachers to bring their class for teachable moments, as well as for a special project.  Small groups can come at anytime also.

The Media Center is equipped with 9 computers, five for patron use.  These five computers serve as card catalogs for the media center's collection.  All computers are internet accessible. One computer is an iMac which is used for student productions.
